Founder and President, A Few Good MENtors, Inc.
Michael R. Morgan is the founder and president of A Few Good MENtors, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping young people grow through mentoring, leadership development, and consistent guidance.
Michael founded A Few Good MENtors in 2019 after reflecting on the values, support, and life lessons he received from his parents and siblings. Under his leadership, the organization has developed mentoring programs grounded in its S.H.I.E.L.D.S. values: Spirituality, Health, Integrity, Education, Leadership, Development, and Stewardship.
Michael brings more than 36 years of federal service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Throughout his FBI career, he conducted interviews, trained employees, mentored colleagues, and developed a deep understanding of communication, human behavior, leadership, and relationship-building. He later returned to the FBI as a Historical Subject Matter Expert.
As a certified DISC assessment instructor, Michael uses his experience in leadership, behavioral assessment, interviewing, and mentoring to help young people and professionals better understand themselves and strengthen their relationships with others.
His work includes the Echoes of Freedom Tour, professional mentoring, leadership training, mentor development, and educational programs focused on history and personal growth.
Michael incorporates the African philosophy of Ubuntu into A Few Good MENtors and the training programs he conducts. Often expressed as “I am because we are,” Ubuntu reflects his belief that personal growth, shared responsibility, and community are connected.
His favorite quote, “You practice what you are becoming,” reflects his approach to mentoring and leadership. Growth does not happen through intention alone. It develops through consistent choices, disciplined action, and the willingness to keep showing up.
