AFGM Honored as a 2026 Champion of Mentoring
A statewide recognition of the mentors, families, and supporters who keep showing up for young men.

A Few Good MENtors, Inc. was one of five organizations honored at MENTOR Virginia’s 2026 Champions of Mentoring celebration. The recognition was presented on November 5, 2026, at The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design in Richmond, Virginia.
Built on the belief that every boy deserves guidance.
Founded in 2019 by Michael R. Morgan, a retired FBI professional with 36 years of federal service, AFGM serves boys and young men ages 8–21. Through its S.H.I.E.L.D.S. mentoring program, the organization connects young people with mentors who provide consistent guidance, character development, educational encouragement, and opportunities for community service.
“This recognition is about much more than an award. It’s about the boys who trust us, the families who believe in our mission, and the men who make the commitment to show up.”

The Year of Impact
As AFGM moves forward under its 2026–2027 theme, The Year of Impact, the organization continues to strengthen its presence throughout Northern Virginia while developing mentoring opportunities in Hampton Roads, including its work with Ingleside Elementary School in Norfolk.
Thank you to our mentors, families, schools, community partners, and supporters who make this work possible. This recognition is a moment to celebrate together and renew our commitment: No Boy Left Behind.
